About Us

Welcome to the

Horizon Family

Teaching students, of All Ages, for over thirty years and being a business owner for over twenty five we have discovered the ingredients to success. A Balance between hard work and a good relationship among student, classmate, and teacher will help the child grow, develop and become a better version of itself.

Hundreds of former students of ours are still part of our lives to date. These are Experiences and Bonds that cannot easily break as we are close to our students through their learning process and journey into young adulthood. They know that at the language school HORIZON there is always someone there for you to talk to. As we are more than just a language school, we are all Family.

Inclusion and Respect

Our students are encouraged to speak their minds, ask questions, and develop their creativity and innovation.  We not only teach foreign languages but we also build character. Moreover, we create a friendly and accepting class environment, embracing differentiality. The HORIZON language school has only one rule, every pupil must respect each other no matter the gender, race, religion or grades.

We promote inclusion and collaboration among our students.  In addition, we try to help them develop better communication skills in order to have a healthier learning environment. Without these essential factors the learning process will not have the desirable results, thus we strive to achieve this so as to prepare our students to work together and help each other improve and achieve their goals.

Confidence In Speaking

As native speakers we focus on teaching our pupils correct pronunciation as well as enhance both their speaking and listening skills.  At the language school HORIZON students are taught to read, write, and communicate in the language they have chosen to learn.  We are there to guide them from an early age and to help them get over their fears of speaking in a foreign language. With our help and guidance they build self-confidence as they know that they are learning everything that is needed in order to become fluent.

No Technology

We do not use computers, tablets or any other form of technology in our classrooms.  Technology may be progressive but we believe in taking handwritten notes, copying content from the board, and engaging in class discussion.  We want our pupils to actively participate in the lesson by using their knowledge.  We want them to enquire and use their minds in order to find the answer as this will teach them to depend on themselves and not on technology.

Special Note

We do not believe in bombarding students with an excessive amount of homework or vocabulary words. We want most of the work to be done in class in order for pupils to have less work at home. If tutoring is needed then it will be provided with no extra cost. It is OUR job to teach the students and NOT the parentsโ€™. It is OUR responsibility to help the pupils with anything that they have not understood during the lesson. The collaboration between teacher and parent is very important however, we need parents to work with us and not for us.
